Life seems to constantly challenge us. I don’t know if it’s because I have been struggling a bit myself or if I just did not notice before, but it seems like everyone dealing with sadness and heartbreak. For each one of us it’s a different struggle, from failed relationships and broken hearts, the loss of loved ones too soon, unemployment and financial troubles, to health scares and illness. Some days it is all too much to process.
Through my training and running I continue to find ways to deal with and process all the life has to offer. I constantly try to find the good in everything and give back to others. These past few months I have learned to enjoy and appreciate the simple things in life. Instead of always being focused on my watch, I have started looking for the beauty in running outside year around. I started an instagram account to document my adventures through photos, check it out!
This past week I had a few things that have reminded me of the good things in my life and how lucky I truly am. I have the most amazing, thoughtful and supportive friends and family in my life. Thank you to all of you who help make my life better everyday.
My nephew Michael made me a bracelet and mailed it to me. His timing could not have been any better, it arrived after a very long trying day at work. My brother and his family live in Vermont and I definitely do not get to see them as often as I would like. Michael is 8 years old and brings me so much joy and happiness all the time. Here we are at the Bruins game in November. Thanks for the bracelet buddy!
As if the bracelet wasn’t enough, an old friend sent me one of the nicest cards I have ever received, along with a gift certificate for a massage and new friend brought me flowers.
Enjoy each day, as it is a gift.
