Well Friday ended the winter warrior challenge and I am glad that it is over. It was so nice having today, Monday, as my first rest day in over 32 days. What’s even crazier is that my total mileage for the month of January was…128.07 miles!!! My running buddies and I had a few drinks, burritos, and tacos to celebrate Friday night at Guapos in Orleans.
Saturday morning we ran 13 miles on the Service Road, again! Man those hills are tough but its working because I feel a little stronger each week. I seem to be stuck though, and can not pass this 13 mile mark. Any suggestions? I believe it’s a mental game right now. Maybe so new songs to add to my playlist?? I need to get at least 15 miles in Saturday to stay on track with my training program.
Saturday night we had our banquet for the Cape Cod Athletic Club. I had never been to the banquet before and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I had a blast!! First I won a trophy, wait I think everyone got a trophy.
And then we danced for three hours, which made walking difficult on Sunday. And then this happened…
My running partner Lori and I having a little fun with the Brooks headband we won Friday night at Guapos. There’s a video of Lori dancing but I promised her I would not post it. She was the life of the party and some how managed to get just about everyone out there dancing at one point or another.
Fundraising total $2200! Thanks to Lori Miranda for her donation this week!
