It’s official

What a great weekend!  It started with the Big Brothers Big Sisters holiday party at Heritage Plantation.  If you haven’t been there this time of the year, you have to check it out.  The light display is great and there are so many activities for kids and adults.  Saturday I went to the Bruins game and what a great game.  Bruins came back in the last few minutes of the game to win it!  The atmosphere felt like playoff hockey, and for you hockey fans out there, nothing compares to playoff hockey!!!!  Sunday was busy with the race, Christmas Stroll in Dennis Village and the Patriots Game with some good friends.

Sunday was the first race in the Cape Cod Athletic Club Winter Grand Prix.  A very hilly run through the Town of Brewster.  I  had a pretty good run, better than I was expecting.  The past four weeks I have eased up on my distance and number of days running and began to focus on some strength training before my marathon program begins next week.  I have been working out at Personalized Fitness Solution with Amy and Meg!  If you are looking for a great total body workout you need to check them out.  All the people there, inspire me everyday to be better, get stronger, and work harder!  I am hoping to stay with the strength training at least two days a week during my training program.  I did not do a lot of strength training in 2012 and I am hoping the strength training will bring my running to a new level.  I can already see the difference with the two half marathons I ran this fall.
